DESCRIPTION

Inspired by Claretta’s leeching build The Reaper, but uses Hammer instead of Blood for a lot more damage in shorter encounters. If you struggle with this AR/Hammer build, you should use the traditional AR/Blood build instead.

This leeching build is most efficient for short encounters, although you can put up a fairly decent amount of damage over a prolonged period as well, if you are able to periodically build resources with a non-leech builder, in between building resources with a leech builder.

Situational Abilities

Do or Die

You can switch Reap and Sew for Do or Die if you have a reliable tank and or are confident in your leeching skills. Beware that you will be rooted while this effect is active, so use it wisely.

Anima Vessel

This is a less powerful version of Reap and Sew. Especially useful in the last hell dungeon where the bosses frequently have reflecting shields, or in other situations where the whole team is taking a lot of damage. Substitute Energise or Full Momentum for this ability if you want to use it.

HOW IT WORKS

As a side note, you should definitely read Claretta’s guide if you want to learn more about leech healing.

As most builds that make use of Elemental Force you require 5 builders, 1 filler and 2 consumers. However, since you are using a hammer, you’ll want to build up Momentum in the first rotation, to take advantage of all group-wide buffs.

First Rotation (buffed)

Start out by using Grand Slam 5 times. You should activate Reap and Sew in the midst of doing that, after a couple of hits, so that you heal the tank by doing raw damage.

Then use Molten Steel, Full Momentum, Molten Steel and Transfuse Anima. If you have any ambrosias, you can even use a third Molten Steel after Transfuse Anima, to take further advantage of the group-wide buffs.

As an alternative to a third Molten Steel, you can use a strong auxiliary ability such as Timber, with an augur signet on the chainsaw, but a Molten Steel will hit harder.

Further rotations (unbuffed)

As mentioned earlier, this build is best used in short encounters, but if the fight goes on, Reap and Sew will expire and you will have to start healing the tank with leeching builders.

  • (1 – 5) Use Anima Shot and/or Grand Slam 5 times. Which you use will depend on how much healing the tank needs.
  • (6) If Full Momentum is off-cooldown, use Molten Steel and then Full Momentum. If not, use Anima Shot, Grand Slam or an auxiliary ability such as Timber.
  • (7) Molten Steel.
  • (8) Transfuse Anima.
