Assault on Orochi Tower

Tier 1

Objective: Go to the tunnel

Go to the tunnel entrance. The location is marked on the map.

Tier 2

Objective: Push further into the tunnels

As you enter, you’ll see the Jingu fighting against Orochi drones. You can help them secure the location, or just carry on. Up to you!

There are more Orochi drones up ahead, as well as an active Orochi tank that will shoot at you as long as you’re in the line of sight.

Objective: Disable the Orochi Tank

Be on the move or break the line of sight to avoid the energy blasts from the tank. Once you get close to the tank, it will no longer be able to shoot at you.

Defeat the two Orochi drones in front of the tank, then start damaging the tank by attacking its two weak spots, which are the frontal parts of the threads.

It will take a long time to destroy them on your own. Luckily for you, Orochi security drones will come to neutralise you. Get them close to a weakspot, and get them down to low health. This will cause them to self-detonate, which will cause massive damage to either weakspot.

Once both weak spots have been dealt with, an Orochi drone will come out of the tank. Defeat it to advance the mission.

Objective: Cross the minefield

Wait for the self-sacrificing Jingu clan members to clear the minefield for you.

Objective: Cross the pressure plates

You may or may not have seen this before. Below you’ll find a couple of hints regarding how to cross them, and then the solution.

Remember to pick up the nearby katana for the side mission.

Turn around with your back against the pressure plates, then use the /moonwalk emote until you’re past them, or the /moonwalk_pro emote if you’ve unlocked that one.

Objective: Proceed further into the tunnels

The next obstacle is an electric labyrinth. The image below highlights the correct path. There is an item for the side mission on the other side as well.

There will be a few more Orochi drones along the way. If you’re doing the side mission, remember to pick up the katana near the drones in the image below.

Head through the next open door on the right side of the corridor, however, if you’re doing the side mission, remember to pick up the gun at the end of the corridor first.

Objective: Bypass the turrets

Wait for the Oni to pass by. One of them will be hit by turrets, thereby dropping its Demonic device. Pick it up and use it to make a portal, so you can get to the other side of the turrets.

Head opposite of the turrets to acquire an Oni mask for Fallen Allies.

Objective: Enter the station

There is an Oni mask for the side mission in the area in front of the turrets. Disable the turrets and the laser beams by using the fuse box.

Moving on, enter the station up ahead. There is an Oni Mask lying to the right as you enter the Station.

Do not kill the Orochi Smiler Mech until ready to do so, as it will trigger mission completion and teleport you to the Orochi Tower Lobby.
