The Sad Song

Tier 1

Objective: Go to the primordial catacombs

Take a lovely stroll up to the nearby catacombs, take in the sights and kill the restless spirits. The location is at (975, 270).

Tier 2

Objective: Find who controls the suffering souls.

Head on deeper into the catacombs you reach an area like this:

Before you confront the Shade (where the smoke is) it would be wise to kill off all the shades hovering around the arena. Then crack open the urn like its a pinata.

Objective: Kill the Shade of Suffering

Out of the pinata, falls some horrible candy. This guy is pretty easy if you killed off the shades around the arena.

Tier 3

Objective: Continue deeper into the catacombs

From the room you are in, simply continue on. The very next room contains another urn.

Objective: Kill the Shade of Torment

Once again, before taking on the Shade in the urn, it would be wise to take out the others around it. Be wary of the doorway to the left (as seen in the above picture) as shades will keep coming through during the fight. Otherwise, this is another easy fight.

Tier 4

Objective: Free the tortured villagers

In the room to the left of where you fought the shade is where the prisoners are kept.

Patrolling the area are these guys:

They are a bit tougher than the Shades in the urn as they throw grenades at you that can deal quite a bit of damage. They patrol the area but are easy to avoid. Free 8 villagers to continue.

Tier 5

Objective: Venture deeper into the catacombs

After you free the villagers, move on to the next area. If you are disoriented, go to the room where you killed the shade and face the execution area. To the right, is the doorway you need to proceed. Several shades are in the way between you and the next shade.

Objective: Kill the Shade of Vengeance

As a welcome change, there are no other shades during this fight, wooo!

Tier 6

Objective: Find who controls the shades

And dooooooown the rabbit hole we go again!

Straight ahead from where you killed the Shade is the way to the next objective.

Objective: Kill the Red King of Shadows

When you reach the end of the pathway you should see the urn surrounded by more shades. Behind the shades guarding the urn is this:

Destroy that to kill it. Killing the shade first only brings out another shade. Do you want 50 Shades of Grey? You do not.

Once they are all exterminated, take on the final shade. It is just a tad stronger that the previous ones but shouldn’t pose a huge threat.
