Tier 1

Objective: Examine the tactical map

It’s located beside Karen at (439,227). Interact with it.

Objective: Examine the laptop

It is located just beside the map. Interact with it. In the Ghost Interface, go to Squad Status and Covert operations.

Objective: Search for the black ops team near the asylum

Hit the road and head north west to reach the asylum. The soldiers are located next to their backpacks, walk to any of them. To know the backpacks locations, see the information about Tier 2 bellow.

Tier 2

Objective: Recover the Thumper from a backpack

Objective: Recover the resonance mines from a backpack

Objective: Recover the CHECMATE beacon from a backpack

The mines are in the backpack at (325,298), the Thumper at (310,274), and the CHECMATE at (353,300). Each time, interact with the backpack to get the goods.

Tier 3

Objective: Move deeper into the asylum grounds

Follow the alley (or the marker) to get in front of the inner gates.

Objective: Try the Thumper

Use the Military thumper item from your inventory anywhere in the area in front of the inner gates.

Objective: Kill Penumbral Brood Scouts lured by the Thumper (9)

Wait for them to spawn and kill them. They will attack you directly. If the thumper disappears before you are done, simply use your Military thumper again.

Tier 4

Objective: Make your way inside the asylum ruins

It is finally time to move through the gates to the asylum.

Objective: Place resonance mines on the east, north, and south walls

You need to interact with highlighted spots on the walls, located at (248,268), (224,271), and (244,239).

Objective: Go to the centre of the asylum

Go to (228,256), right beside the broodmark.

Objective: Trigger the mines and defeat the Umbral Swarm

While remaining at (228,256), use the Resonance mine trigger from your inventory. Then, kill the enemies as they spawn and attack you.

Tier 5

Objective: Explore the mound behind the asylum

Go south, deeper into the ruins.

Objective: Kill the Penumbral Brood Matriarch

You will find her by the tree behind the ruins around (203,188). Engage her by using the CHECMATE item from your inventory on her and kill her.
