Tier 1
Objective: Find the body Jake “salvaged” the controller from
Head in the direction pointed out by Jake and as marked on your map. Cross the bridge over the trains to find the remains of an Orochi scientist (895,310). Scientists usually have interesting things with them.
Objective: Read the manual next to the body
Examine the Orochi scientist field journal clutched in the corpse’s hand.
The journal entry can be seen below.
Objective: Initialise the controller by fighting psychic creatures
Start fighting and killing various psychic mobs. Each time one is killed, the psychic energy analysis increases by 20%. Kill 5 psychic creatures to reach 100% to initialise the controller.
Tier 2
Objective: Search for Han at the train yards
The field journal mentions the locations of two other scientists. Go to the train yard where marked on the map and look for another dead scientist. He can be found at (720,325).
Objective: Search the body for the shield controller
Use poor Han and see what he has.
Objective: Initialise the second controller by fighting cybernetic creatures
As with before, defeat five cybernetic mobs in the area in order to reach 100% and initialise.
Tier 3
Objective: Search for Junsaku at the docks
Make way to the docks. Junsaku is cowering beneath the bridge by cargo (380,300).
Objective: Pick up the shield controller
Junsaku tosses it to the ground by your feet in fright. You have a minute to pick it up.
Objective: Initialise the third controller by fighting demonic creatures
Kill five of any of the nearby demonic filth or fungi to complete analysis.
Tier 4
Objective: Return to Junsaku
Once you return to Junsaku, something will frighten him and he’ll run off. There is a minute allotted to chasing the scared scientist, who stops at (360,270) and triggers a cinematic.
Tier 5
Objective: Defeat the Simian Horror
Follow the great ape up by using a ladder (320,250) to reach the top. Beat the super simian. It will occasionally pummel the ground with Furious Tremors. Move far away to avoid its fury.
The Simian Horror will spawn multiple pods containing sporelings when its health is low. It will be invulnerable until all of them have been destroyed.
By saving your burst DPS until towards the end of the fight, or by using multiple impairs, you can reduce the number of times he does this, or even skip those phases completely.
