Tier 1

Objective: Examine Montgomery’s map

Objective: Example Montgomery’s notes

Head inside the tent behind Montgomery. You will find the map and the notes there.

Objective: Go to the northwestern ruins

Go to the location marked on the map, which is (505,1085). Beware that you will be entering a lair area, which is designed around multiple endgame players cooperatering, so be sure to avoid all the dangerous mobs in that area.

Tier 2

Objective: Find and decipher Montgomery’s research notes

The notes are to the right of the bottom of the stairs when coming down them. Interact with the notes to continue the mission.

Objective: Perform the Ritual of the Sun

I encourage you to try to solve this one yourself as there’s some decent lore to all of this! The solution is to interact with the pyres in the order shown in the image below. You are to put out their fires.

Objective: Inspect where the beams are pointing

Look up and you’ll see a set of blue beams that point towards a certain location. Follow the beams. The pinpointed location is at the end of a narrow structure. Jump onto it.

Objective: Collect the metallic scarab

Pick up the metallic scarab the beams point to.

Tier 3

Objective: Find and decipher Montgomery’s research notes

Go to the pintpointed location and interact with the notes half-way up the stairs.

Objective: Perform the Ritual of Days

Now things are getting a bit more complicated. Beware, this ritual can only be performed during daytime. If the current ingame-time is night, you will have to wait until sunrise.

Use the crystal above the notes first.

Then interact with the other crytals until they send their reflection beam off in the right direction. The solution for where the beams have to go is shown belowin multiple parts.

Following the path underground…

Objective: Enter the sealed chamber

A door has mysteriously opened after the success of the ritual. Pass through it.

Objective: Collect the metallic ankh

Pick up the ankh from the ground. Hmmmm, Anubis…

Tier 4

Objective: Find and decipher Montgomery’s research notes

Head for the designated area and interact with the notes on the wall.

Objective: Perform the Ritual of Lineage

Again, I encourage you to explore this for yourself, but if you’re stuck you will find the solution below.

The solution is to pray in front of all the three statue sections on the right side of the room. They should light up with weak blue-like lights. Pray using the /pray command.

Objective: Collect the metallic eye

It is found in front of the statue at the end of the room. Pick it up to advance.

Tier 5

Objective: Enter the hidden tomb

Sneak around the statue. There’s an entrance to a hidden tomb behind it. Pass through that entrance down to the hidden tomb.

Objective: Examine the metallic sarcophagus

Interact with the sarcophagus. Might not be necessary, it is possible that getting near it will make the mission advance.

Objective: Place the metal objects on the sarcophagus

Click on the Aperture of the sarcophagus to place the parts there.

Tier 6

Objective: Report your findings back to the Oxford scholars

Return to where you started the mission, at (715,860).

Objective: Read the rest of Montgomery’s research

Head inside the grey tent again and interact with the book on the table.
