Tier 1
Objective: Defeat a manifestation of the Rider’s curse
The process of defeating a manifestation is not straightforward. Both normal Manifestations of the Rider’s Curse or Empowered Manifestations of the Rider’s Curse count toward this mission.
There is little to go by, except for a strange tome by your feet. Pick up the Worn Tome.
This will put a Worn Tome in your inventory, which can be used to read its contents.
You will know him. Hearken!
The Rider
The tome’s phrases correlate to Solomon Island, Egypt, Transylvania, and Kaidan respectively. The Rider can be found in every Adventure Zone.

The Rider lurks at a ritual site for 30 minutes before departing.
When the Rider is present in a zone, the popup “The Rider has arrived.” will appear at the top of the screen when he arrives and for all who zone in to a server containing the Rider.
When the Rider leaves, the popup “The Rider has departed.” will appear at the top of the screen for all players in the server.
Summoning the Manifestation of the Rider’s Curse
Each ritual site has 5 candles on it. All 5 candles must be lit to summon a boss to the zone.
To light a candle, certain tasks must be completed.
Summoning Requirements
Each Region varies in the task required in order to light the Rider’s candles and begin the summoning rituals.
Solomon Island
Hell Rifts are scattered throughout all Solomon Island zones while the Rider is around. Each Portal must be closed using a Hell Device at its base. Close the portal after killing all mobs that spawn from it or it may glitch.
Egypt
Hulking about Egypt while the Rider waits are Reanimated Destroyers. These must be killed swiftly or they will respawn. Kill them to light the candles.
Transylvania
During the Rider’s stay in a Transylvanian zone, pairs of Restless Spirits haunt the area. Kill the Spirits in pairs or they respawn immediately.
Kaidan
While the Rider is in Kaidan, Lupine Troublemakers will appear in the zone. Kill 30 of them to light the candles and begin the summoning ritual.
A very small, barely visible flame on a candle marks the halfway point on that candle’s progress.
When all 5 candles are lit, the phrase “The Summoning has begun” will be announced to the whole zone of the particular server of a dimension in which the ritual is taking place. The Rider will begin a summoning ritual for a minute.
Once the announcement “The Summoning is complete” occurs, a large wisp will fly from the Rider and float to the location in which a Manifestation will appear.
Manifestations of the Rider’s Curse
Each Region has a Manifestation. While its location varies by zone, the boss itself is not different between zones of the same Region.
A Manifestation has 20000000 HP. Each has its own unique mechanics. Please see their respective guides for further information on the exact requirements for a summoning ritual per zone in each respective Region as well as the mechanics of that particular boss.
