Tier 1

Objective: Go to the electrical substation

Head south-east to the substation and towards the terminal building.

On the way there take note of the Electrified Overgrowths. They have yellow names, thus they will not attack you at all unless you attack them first. Besides, at the moment they have a nasty buff which makes even a fully geared player execute several full rotations before they go down. Just leave them be.

Objective: Access the terminal to see a layout of the substation

Enter the building and interact with the terminal.

In the following terminal window, enter 1 and press enter. You will get a map of the substation which will be useful throughout the quest.

Tier 2

Objective: Find and disable the first working circuit breaker

Objective: Find and disable the second working circuit breaker

Objective: Destroy lightning arresters

Let’s start with the circuit breakers. On the map we can see these marked as 1 and 2. And we can even see the status of the breakers (note that the layout of building 1 is mirrored on the map compared to the building for some reason).

Number one is right next to the terminal building.

Inside you will see a lot of breakers. You can try them all and find the one you need, or look at the map. The middle one the wall opposite the entrance seems to be the one.

The second circuit breaker building is due west, just across the small bridge.

And according to the plan it’s the one to the right of the entrance which is active.

Now for the lightning arresters. On the map they are the 8 small blue squares with a voltage sign next to them (only 6 shown in my crop out of the map).

They are poles, they are targetable and you need to take out 4 of these by attacking them.

Tier 3

Objective: Pick up a spool of copper wire

The spool stis on top of a dump in the middle of the station. Interact with it to pick it up. The gas tank on my left can be destroyed to take care of fungi which may be hanging around the dump.

Objective: Use the wire on the air break switch

There are who of these, and they are placed on the breaker buildings (there is an icon on the map next to the breaker buildings for these) which you have already visited. Here seen on building one. Identical one is foud on building two.

Tier 4

Objective: Override the electrical disconnects

Head back to the terminal, and interact with it.

Input 2 and press enter.

Always heed warnings, and do not attempt this unless you’re immortal. Input 1 and press enter.

Objective: Use the substation control terminal to overload the transformers

No, not the robots. The big sparkly things outside. You can close the window and interact with the terminal again, or you can input root to get back.

Then input 2, press enter.

More warnings. Remember that safety comes first. Still, input 1 and press enter.

Tier 5

Objective: Kill an Electrified Overgrowth while it’s weakened

Timed objective: 2 minutes! Remember those big guys that would not attack you? Well, they still won’t but now you can take them on with ease. Kill one to complete the mission.
