Anniversary

General Info

This year’s anniversary consists of three events. The Guardians of Gaia from previous years returned to every adventure zone except Kaidan, Tokyo, which still faces threat from the Anomalies of the Filth and the enormous Patchwork Horror.

Joining this year is a new 40-man raid boss requiring Shards from each Guardian of Gaia’s associated Genizah and the Anomaly of the Filth. When all ten shards are used together within the Deep Agartha instance (470,405) accessible through the southwest portal on the main platform of Agartha itself.

Join the #event chat channel!

It is recommended to join the #event chat channel by using this command: /chat join event

Watch out for callouts in that channel. If someone announces that a golem is up, you can teleport to their location by right-clicking their name and selecting Meet up.

Should you wish to make a callout of your own, announce in #event chat your dimension, instance, and zone for which the golem is located. That way, a player can ensure they have reached the right location, especially if the Gatekeeper is still walking when the callout is made. Coordinates of the Gatekeeper may be helpful in that case.

To find your Dimension, press F9. For Dimension and Server, shift+F9 will give the full information. It is advised that server be included if using Dimension in your callout.

If it’s the first time you have joined that chat channel, you may also have to subscribe to the channel. Right click the chat window tab and subscribe to #event.

Character Boosts

For the duration of the Anniversary Celebrations, until the 13th of July, you can also take advantage of these Bonuses:

– Double Ability Points: Every time you would earn an Ability Point you get one extra! This effect stacks with the Timed AP Boosts you can get in the Item Shop, but not with the AP Injections.

Participation System

There is a ranked participation system introduced with 2016’s Anniversary event to promote participation in the fight while dissuading frequent AFKing.

Based on a player’s participation in a fight, they achieve a certain rating: Gold, Silver, or Bronze. Rating will determine the Pax Romana and XP rewards of a mission, with Gold rewarding the highest amount. Participation is based on how often a player is damaging or healing during an event boss.

In addition, only the Gold rating version of a mission will reward Genizahs, The Patchwork Horror, or Spoils of the Hollowed Earth.

Bronze and Silver only award Guardian of Gaia Spoils.

Guardians of Gaia

Every zone except Kaidan will have Guardian of Gaia spawn in them. Every zone has a different golem type, however they act pretty similar except for some specific attacks. All golems are immune to Crowd Control effects such as impairs. Fusang Projects will also have a special Lunar Guardian.

The Gatekeeper will walk from the Agartha portal in a zone to the summoning location of these Guardians at a leisurely pace. Follow the Gatekeeper to the ultimate location of the boss.

Kingsmouth

Pitiqtu Nasiru spawns in Kingsmouth at around (730,685), just east of Edgard’s Scrapyard.

The Savage Coast

Anzanunzu Nasiru spawns in The Savage Coast at around (40,600), near the water to the east of Innsmouth Academy.

The Blue Mountain

Abnu Nasiru spawns in The Savage Coast at around (620,290), just south of the Quarry.

The Scorched Desert

Isatis Nasiru spawns in The Scorched Desert at around (510,670), north of al-Merayah. However, this golem patrols the area around the fiery crack in the ground, so you might to run around a bit to spot it.

The City of the Sun God

Basi Nasiru spawns in The City of the Sun God at around (760,890), in the north-eastern part of the zone.

The Besieged Farmlands

Halbu Nasiru spawns in The Besieged Farmlands at around (990,930), near the farm south of the Harbaburesti village. However, this golem has a very large patrolling route. Refer to the highlighted area in the map below when looking for this golem.

The Shadowy Forest

Erbu Nasiru spawns in The Shadowy Forest at around (460,570), north-west of the Hell area.

The Carpathian Fangs

Kasu Nasiru spawns in The Carpathian Fangs at around (320,690), in the area south of the Castle. However, this golem patrols in the area from south of the castle to around the area inhabited by the Zmeus.

Fusang Projects

Kaspu Nasiru spawns in the Fusang Projects in the top of the center of the Warzone (520,515). Please be considerate of other players during this golem, as PvP is still in effect. Cooperation is key to its defeat.

Anomalies of the Filth

Kaidan, Tokyo

The Patchwork Horror may spawn at various locations in Kaidan, however it patrols the area in which it spawns, so you might have to run around to find it. Below is a map with the known locations highlighted.

The Gatekeeper

Deep Agartha

The Gatekeeper is a 40-man Open Raid encounter available during the Anniversary Event in Agartha. The Gatekeeper must be summoned using ten shards of hatred and anger from each of the Guardians of Gaia and the Patchwork Horror.

Random reward from the [Genizah of the Liquid Fire] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating the anniversary golem in The Scorched Desert.

Shem of the Unforgiving Sand

Random reward from the [Genizah of the Unforgiving Sand] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating the anniversary golem in The City of the Sun God.

Shem of the Elder Forest

Random reward from the [Genizah of the Elder Forest] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating the anniversary golem in The Besieged Farmlands.

Shem of the Crawling Plague

Random reward from the [Genizah of the Crawling Plague] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating the anniversary golem in The Shadowy Forest.

Shem of the Frozen Truth

Random reward from the [Genizah of the Frozen Truth] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating the anniversary golem in The Carpathian Fangs.

Patchwork Mech-Man

Random reward from the [The Patchwork Horror] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating the anniversary golem in Kaidan, Tokyo.

Shem of the Lunar Metal

Random reward from the [Genizah of the Lunar Metal], which is a mission reward for defeating Kapsu Nasiru in Fusang Projects. This golem additionally drops from [Genizah of the Solar Metal] during the Gilded Rage event.

Shem of the Seething Sliver

Random reward from the [Spoils of the Hollowed Earth] bag, which is a mission reward from defeating The Gatekeeper in Deep Agartha.

Guardians of Gaia – Gold

Unless the Genizah reward bags from the Guardians of Gaia award you their pet, clothing, or a Shard, you will receive one of the following items:

The Patchwork Horror – Gold

The Patchwork Horror’s reward bag will always reward an SD card containing a lore piece, and it also awards one of the following items unless you are given the pet, clothing, or shard:

The Corruped SD Cards will each award a piece of black signal lore in the Anomalies of the Filth lore collection. They can also be traded with other players.

The Gatekeeper – Gold

Upon achieving gold participation rating for the Gatekeeper encounter, you are awarded the Spoils of the Hollowed Earth.

Should you already own any of the clothing or pets, a Signet Reward Bag will instead be rewarded when rolling them.

Guardian of Gaia – Silver

The Guardian of Gaia Spoils – Silver is rewarded for a Silver rating. It rewards the same as the Genizahs, but is generic among all Anniversary Encounters. As such, boss-specific pets, shards, and clothing do not drop.

Guardian of Gaia – Bronze

The Guardian of Gaia Spoils – Bronze is rewarded for a Bronze rating. It rewards the same as the Genizahs, but is generic among all Anniversary Encounters. As such, boss-specific pets, shards, and clothing do not drop.

Lore Locations

Mission Cooldowns

Each mission save for the Gatekeeper has a 2-hour cooldown. The best way to keep track of these cooldowns for each of the missions is probably to check the cooldown window, by pressing Shift + L, then go to the missions tab.

The Gatekeeper has no cooldown.
