About

Vlad Dracula, also known as Vlad the Impaler (Vlad Tepes), and the Dragon, was a legendary monster slayer and prince of Wallachia, part of what is now present-day Romania. While he was alive, he had a lover named Mara; however, Mara was turned against him by Lilith, who sought to destroy Dracula. Mara seduced Dracula's best friend and most trusted companion at the time, Callisto. After doing so, Mara was turned into a Vampire, and assumed the role as their queen.

While he was alive, Dracula founded the Drăculești, an order which to the present day fight to uphold the teachings and principles of Vlad Dracula. Before his demise, Dracula confronted Mara, but was either unable, or unwilling to destroy his former love. Instead, Mara was cast out, however, Dracula knew that this would not last, and made a plan to ensure that when Mara returned, so would he. Dracula stored away parts of his essence, to be collected and combined when the time of Mara's return came.

In the present day, Mara returned to Transylvania and launched a vampire crusade with the intent of taking over the region. Her plans were, however thwarted when a Secret Worlder alongside Callisto managed to sneak inside her Palace. The two were carrying a silver egg which contained the combined essence of Vlad Dracula. Vlad was then able to manifest himself, and overpower Mara. Upon defeating her, Vlad somehow turned Mara back into her former, human, self. He then proceeded to reluctantly stab Mara, thus killing her and putting and end to her rule. The two can then be seen as they perish together, now reunited after five centuries apart.
